Formed in 1997, local hardcore
metal act Grindhouse has been hitting clubs and parties for years.
Their aggressive style is driven by the pounding rhythms of drummer Ross
Beebe; the low-end styles of bassist Justin “Stein” Dunn; the distorted,
down-tuned crunches of Ray Worth’s guitar work; and the scream/growl vocals
of Patrick Mcgowan. Drawing their influences from bands like Hatebreed,
Sepultura, and Soulfly, Grindhouse brings a rare taste of relentless hardcore
to an area generally accustomed to radio-pop and country music cover bands.
